Our Mission

To assist and support, through fellowship and action, the fathers and families of individuals with Down syndrome.

Our History

The Minnesota Chapter of D.A.D.S. started in the Spring of 2006 with a small group of men that had one thing in common - a child with Down syndrome. We are modeled after the original  D.A.D.S. group founded  in Indianapolis. The Minnesota Chapter of D.A.D.S. has a strong affiliation with ARC Midstate. Our goal is to be a place where fathers can share the important things in their lives.

While the Minnesota Chapter of D.A.D.S is still in its early stages of development, we are looking forward to becoming a valuable forum for sharing and networking with other  fathers of children with Down syndrome in Minnesota. We  have a monthly meeting which started in May 2006.  Please contact us if you are interested in assisting  in the development of this chapter.

Send an email to dadsmn@dadsmn.com if you are interested in participating in D.A.D.S.  We welcome all fathers to share in the joy and challenges of being the parent of a child with Down syndrome.
